A final break of golden light came through an otherwise overcast sky and I stopped and worked through a few frames before it went. I had an orange filter on the lens on black-and-white film; it lightens anything warm-toned, which is what turned the roadside grass almost white. The wet road, the pale grass, the dark sky.
