Nobody is entirely sure where the name came from either. One story says a woman fell from the cliffs in the 1800s. Another blames the rip currents. Either way, the name stuck and the beach earned its reputation for wildness honestly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main reason I visited that day was the sea cave at the southern end of the strand. This was shot standing at the mouth of the cave, looking out at the rocky shore; its layers held me there.
