N°5 - Glendalough
Dawn Mist, Glendalough
Printed and dispatched within 3–5 working days.
ABOUT THIS PRINT
Glendalough is a place like no other. It has a particular energy, something that feels older than the landscape itself. In summer it fills with people. In winter it slips back into its natural state, and for me that's the right time to be there.
This was made early one winter morning. The sun had just broken the horizon to the east, and the mist that had settled on the Upper Lake was beginning to slowly clear. A family of ducks moved across the water — the only thing to break the surface that morning.
Shot handheld on a Minolta SRT 101 with Ilford HP5 Plus, developed in my darkroom.

- Matte surface with a soft, lightly defined felt structure
- Giclée printed with pigment-based archival inks
- Archive Edition is an open edition, printed to order.
A NOTE ON PRINT TONE
These are not strictly black and white prints. Each image is toned in post to a specific warmth, a slight shift away from neutral grey. It's subtle. They'll read as monochrome at a glance, but there's warmth in there. That's intentional.
Shot on 35mm film, the grain of the original negative is part of the image.

Mockup images are for illustrative purposes. We recommend measuring your wall before ordering.
FRAMING
Framing is not included. These are poster-format prints, designed to sit flush in a frame with no mount. Standard A1 and A2 frames are widely available from IKEA, Desenio, and most independent framers. A simple black or natural wood frame works well.
For the best finish, I recommend professional framing with anti-reflective glass. It makes a significant difference to how the print reads on the wall.
