N°3 - Wicklow
Mountain Road in Low Cloud
Printed and dispatched within 3–5 working days.
ABOUT THIS PRINT
The road that runs high through the Wicklow Mountains, giving spectacular views over Lough Tay on a clear day. This wasn't a clear day. Low cloud had settled on the landscape that autumn morning, dropping visibility to a few hundred metres.
I stopped and made this image along with N°1 in the series. They were made within a few minutes of each other, a natural pair, same morning, same light, same cloud.
Shot handheld on a Leica M6 with Ilford HP5 Plus, developed in my darkroom.
PAPER & PRINTING
Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm:
- 100% cotton, acid free, archival
- Matte surface with a soft, lightly defined felt structure
- Giclée printed with pigment-based archival inks
- Archive Edition is an open edition, printed to order.
A NOTE ON PRINT TONE
These are not strictly black and white prints. Each image is toned in post to a specific warmth, a slight shift away from neutral grey. It's subtle. They'll read as monochrome at a glance, but there's warmth in there. That's intentional.
Shot on 35mm film, the grain of the original negative is part of the image.
SIZES & SHIPPING

Printed and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Free worldwide shipping. Prints are rolled and shipped in a protective tube, or in a rigid cardboard box depending on your location.
Mockup images are for illustrative purposes. We recommend measuring your wall before ordering.
FRAMING
Framing is not included. These are poster-format prints, designed to sit flush in a frame with no mount. Standard A1 and A2 frames are widely available from IKEA, Desenio, and most independent framers. A simple black or natural wood frame works well.
For the best finish, I recommend professional framing with anti-reflective glass. It makes a significant difference to how the print reads on the wall.
